Running triples? Post a pic and help me out!

Colour should really be the buying point with IPS' TBH. So much more vibrant. I find with TN panels. Youre sitting down in a stationary place, so getting the TN panels to face you isnt a big problem.
I never undertood why people care about viewing angles FOR a triple monitor setup :S
 
I suppose it depends what angle you have the monitors. I've not seen an IPS in the flesh but from what I've read you are right about the colours being better.

In my case I'm planning on having a sofa in the room so when the guys come over we can have a few beers and laugh at how bad their driving is so would be nice to see the screens clearly from different angles.

From my personal experience, IPS are much better due to viewing angles and colour accuracy.

TN suffers from horizontal colour shifting a bit, but the vertical colour shifting is by far the worst, so I imagine if your mates are sitting on a sofa, it's going to be lower down than the optimal eye level of the monitors, so they'd get an eyeful of colour shiftedness.

If you angle your side monitors inwards as is optimal due to how the cameras work in games, then you will see colour shifting on the left and right monitors.
 
Well, youre in for a surprise when you see the colours!
I get your point, but I did that for games and was completely fine.
Maybe its just my terrible eye spotting skills?
