Running Waterloop Leak Test - All OK?

hi Guys, just put together the first waterloop (just with de-ionised water at the moment) to see if there are any leaks...

just wanted to ask if the pump is supposed to get 'reasonably' hot?

I have a Laing DDC Ultra Pump with OCLabs plexi Top and the back of the pump feels slightly hot.. I have a scythe fan/temp controller and i have temporarily taped a thermo probe onto the back of the pump and it is reading max 60.9 degrees C...

just wanted to know if this is 'normal'?

Pump RPM according to Scythe is 4440(ish)

yes, i got the same pump and it gets hot. nothing to worry about

btw my pump runs ~4000 rpm

As this is the first watercooling system i have built, i am a little 'paranoid' to say the least, plus, over £4000 has gone into this baby so really want to avoid any issues...

btw - fyi, i am running a swiftech apoggee GTX Special Edition CPU block with 1/2" ID Tygon tubing with 'F' splitters and 6/8mm Tubing going through 2 X Hard drives waterblocks in parralel.. all coming via Thermochill PA120.2 rad.

Second PA120.2 rad and waterloop is yet to be set up but that will be passing through just the 8800GTX with DD waterblock, again, all in 1/2" Tygon and another Liang DDC Ultra pump with OCLabs plexitop.

I didn't think hard drive water blocks were worth it? Looks nice a nice setup tho

Naa, i know what you mean, i think they will be for show more than go... There will be a good amount of airflow down in that area where the harddrives will be mounted (once my custom rack is finished) so they should be cool enough, got 2 x Raptor 74Gb chaps going in so just thought the waterblocks would look the nuts... Can't wait to see what it looks like with my Red & Green UV FeserOne coolant running around with the UV Cathodes in full glory!

(Red UV coolant for the loop as seen in picture above, and Green UV coolant for the 8800GTX loop)
