This is the light ive had up for about a year and a half now:

There was some rust inside it, also one of the 3 screws holding the light in place is rusty. What gives?

Ive used sandpaper to get rid of it for now but its just a temporary solution. Anyone know of a light that wont rust?

Also on a semi related note the outside light that I fitted next to my front door has rust on it... Got that from B&Q. Where can I find an outside light that wont rust?

The fitting you have (and the one macca linked to) are both IP44 rated which whilst they are safe for installation inside a bathroom (outside Zone 0) only prevent small particles and water splashes from getting in to the fitting.
If you have a particularly steamy bathroom then you need something like IP66 or above if you want to it be pretty much impenetrable in standard use.
Or just don't worry about it.

i got one of these

LED, cheap to buy, cheap to run, all plastic no rust, not posh but looks smart when up

Ps. I have fitted both these and the OPs fitting and this is 10x better quality.

Cheers guys, ill investigate IP66 rated lights because I like very hot showers and thats probably the reason for the rust.

That plastic light looks great too! Im a fan of function over form and for once a plastic solution to something might be the better option

I fitted the same fittings as the OP has in my dad's bathroom four or 5 years ago, rusty as anything now... they are just **** quality!
