Rusty wheel bolts - warranty item?

Looks to be a regular problem with the car then, sad they would cheap out so much on the bolts :(

Hopefully I can get some new ones otherwise it'll have to be a pot of silver smoothrite.
It'll just polish off. A liberal coating of grease will stop it reoccurring or smoothrite as you say. It's annoying but it's one way of keeping costs down. Could always get yourself some Ti replacements!

It may, it may not, but the point is they shouldn't be corroding so badly. I spoke to Renault this morning and they want to take a look at it, so it's promising that they're not automatically washing their hands of it.

Normally anti corrosion warranties wouldn't touch anything like this, and it'd only be for bodywork they'd cover. However, since the car is only 18months old and you presumably bought it new from the dealer, they may just sort it out for you under goodwill.

Don't think I have ever owned a car which did not have chromed bolts when used in an exposed alloy wheel scenario. I can understand those types of bolts being used on steelies but not on alloys.

Good to hear Renault replaced but I suspect the new ones will do exactly the same!

Perhaps, but at least I'll know to look out for it and I may end up getting some caps anyway as suggested above. Not sure if it can, but I was worried about the rust spreading to the alloy or something.
