I agree, it does matter where he scores from, because if he consistently gets tapins hes hardly has many skill in the art of scoring. A good striker should be able to score from anywhere and anyhow. RNV only knows how to tap the ball in.

Hardly worth £17,000,000 or however much he cost. Thats why i think he is overated.

Thing is his goals aint "tap ins" they are quality goals that DO require skill. How many strikers in the prem can score practically every time they have an oppatuity within 10 yards.

rvn hasnt scored a goal outside 7 yards though :D

rvn is good he is being a tad harsh on the poor lad

scoring tap-ins in itself is a great skill. not many strikers can score so many of them (RvN hardly ever misses them). however, you are very reliant on having great players around u to work with, when using this strategy. at man utd, he probably has one of the best midfields in any team in europe to help him out, so his strategy works. and hey, why change this strategy if its winning u many games in a row?

he would be one of the 2 strikers i would have in my world XI. i need one target man and one guy who can score from outside the area or set up RvN. perhaps the other guy would either be Ronaldo or Henry. id probably go with henry cuz he is in great form right now and wont need to subbed after 60 minutes, which ronaldo might.

my midfielders would have only one instruction: pass the ball into the penalty box (thats all they gotta do) and let RvN take care of things from there in.
