At my wits end with rhis RX 7900XXT and Warzone/DMZ/COD 2.0

My Sapphire reference card is running at 69c and 89c so in spec at stock - if i increase power limit, it can hit 110c within minutes.

COD/Warzone/DMZ 2.0 are all crashing at random with the AMD wattman error. Sometimes I can get a game in, othertimes it's within 5 minutes.

My specs are 5800X 3D. Asus Tuff X570 Gaming Plus. 16GB Thermal Take Tuff Ram 4000mhz. MSI MPG 1000W ATX 3.0.

I've tried absolutely everything to get it to stop crashing including a full fresh format of Win 11.

I've also disabled XMP and the slight OC on my CPU. Ran AIDA64, prime and timespy all of which never crash.

Is this just a COD related issue?

I'd like to hang onto the card with the performance being so great but Warzone is my game of choice. On my old GTX 1080ti, I had absolutely no problems.

To me it sounds like you still might have the vapour chamber heat pipe issue unfortunately albeit not as extreme as what other people have. Maybe try an undervolt and see what happens, I'm not too familiar with Radeon GPUs but I'm sure someone on here will help you out.

The weird thing is every other game seems to be fine.

I've done some deep diving into the COD crash logs and found it's a P1 141 error. Which I can't find anything online about.

Can you switch the GPU/case orientation easily even for a few minutes. If just doing that fixes the issue it may help to identify if that game is pushing the vapour chamber to it's limit.

Of course it may make it worse but either way helps to spot the cause.

My temps seem to be fine compared to most other people?

Did think that but that's why i've disabled XMP.
Have you updated to the latest bios for your motherboard and then run the default bios settings (dont change anything) with memory running at JDEC 2133Mhz to see if that fixes it. I’ve played Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 in the XTX and not had one crash ever.

I am on the very latest bios Matt!

Also checked all my M.2 drives. All being reported as healthy.
