RX 7900XTX crashing in Warzone/DMZ 2.0.

Reset to optimised default settings. The only thing it changed was a 4g decoding setting.

Ram is at 2666, will try and get it to 2133mhz.

If RAM is at 2666, you are not using BIOS default settings. Enter the BIOS and reset everything to default. It varies depending on which board you are using, but its often a case of entering BIOS and pressing F7 and then F10 to save and exit.

Strange. Only option i've got in bios on the exit tab is load "optimised defaults" not anything saying actual defaults?

If this issue happens in other games I think you have done more than enough troubleshooting to send the card back for a replacement or refund.

People suggesting you jump through all these hoops just to get the card stable you should not have to do in the first place esp when charging the money they do.

I'm really sorry to hear you are having these problems.

If it's just one game then I would have thought this is just down to a driver issue. Assuming it's the GPU driver, AMD may well sort it out in time, but by the sound of it you have already tried the obvious and you may have to choose now between sending back or taking a gamble that it will be resolved in time. I know, it's a really difficult decision but I suppose it comes down to how important this one game is to you. Personally, if you can, then I would send it back because you can always try again later, but if you miss the return window.... If you can't send it back then I think it will get sorted, but I am afraid it may take them a while.
Oh, by the way, did you update your motherboard bios? Keep an eye out for updates.

It's going back :(

Got a 4080 on order.

Really wanted to keep it but the constant crashing and worrying about temps for the summer is playing heavy on my mind.

This is what I did and the 4080 has been more stable well actually no crashes! You can see how cool and efficient my FE model has been from my posts in the owners thread. Better then my previous 3080.

The 4080 is a great card. The only thing wrong with it is the price. Alas AMD seem to be doing little other than force people to buy NVIDIA.

4080 is in. Absolutely 0 crashing, even with my XMP profile back on.

Happy it's resolved but did really want to go AMD this time.

CPU temps have dropped with the 4080 as well? Probably because it's not blasting out 100c :D

When I say AMD cards crash in games I actually mean it. It's been a joke amongst friends for a while..
That goes for the strange quirks in Ryzen stuff too.

From my experience it's just not as solid as the Intel & Ngreedia combo.

im having the exact same issues with crashes/lockups in games since switching from my 3090 to the 7900 XTX, have had to revert to my 3090 and all stable again, so looks like its going back :(
