RX8 Engine Question

you need a proper mazda digital compression tester to give you the porper results.

you spin the engine over and it will take a reading of the compression in each of the 3 faces, the engine must be hot aswell.

the comp test normally costs £30+vat but very much worth it

Didnt bother going to look in the end, due to me being called home to let the wife go and shop whilst i babysat lol, then i couldnt be bothered yesterday and am too busy today, never mind there will always be more if it goes
 
My RX8 had a rebuiled at 43K, apex seal and side seals failed... Engine died completly with flashing CEL, this also destroyed my cat :(

Good job i had extended warranty would have cost me £3.5K :eek:
