Ryan Reynolds

 at this thread

As for Reynolds I thought he was crap in Blade, crap in Wolverine and Green Latern looks all kind of rubbish. That said I did enjoy Definitely, Maybe but that's obviously the type of film that fits him better.

face wise he's no looker. Certainly not when talking about movie stars. He's no Pitt or Clooney.

Ryan Reynolds? Scarlet's Johanson's Ryan Reynolds? People's Magazine "Sexiest Man Alive 2010" Ryan Reynolds? Nah, I'm with Gilly there, he's just average potato face Anywherechesterian. On any given night, in any given pub on any high street, in any Sheerness, you'll find guys just like him. ;)

Compared to other movie stars he looks a proper geek. He's like that kid that claimed he made Napster from the new Italian Job. But a bit squintier.

Seth Green? You think he looks squintier than Seth Green?

Gilly, we love you, but you are prosopagnostic like Picasso paintings.

Why? I can say that one movie star looks weird and isn't as good looking as other movie stars without being better looking myself?

Can I criticise Premiership footballers? How about professional musicians?

He's a very average looking bloke

Was that a comparison to the man in the street or other leading male movie stars? What about Daniel Day-Lewis, what do you make of him? If you think RR is weird and average looking then I can't wait to hear the answer.

It might sound like I'm the founder of the Ryan Reynolds gay fanclub or something but on the other hand you are letting your dislike of his acting impair your judgement over his looks!

And of course you can criticise footballers and musicians, but if you said Emile Heskey was an average footballer compared to all other footballers, then that comment would be equally as redundant as saying Ryan Reynolds is an average looking bloke. Of course he's not average looking.

There was more wrong with Trinity than just Reynolds & Biel, the series really jumped the shark with them though, along with silly ipod product placements and goofy wrestlers. Snipes could have saved it!

Hey, Sorry to bother you, but you wouldnt happen to be Chojin from Dreanor server in wow would you? If yes can you please get back to me at youtube:)

PS sorry for offtopic, but cant send a PM:(

To be fair, Blade 2/3, Wolverine and Green lantern were just rubbish, ignore Reynolds or take him out and they'd be no better. He played a very one dimensional character in them fairly well to be honest. His timing was on, a couple jokes funny, most not, thats what was asked of him.

He's been in other good films and Gilly, he's average looking, he's not close to average and he doesn't resemble Seth Green other than having 2 arms, 2 legs and a head.

The films he's been asked to actually act in, he's been pretty good, in crap films with crap roles where he's asked to play the comic relief, thats what he does well enough. I don't think another actor would have made Blade 3 either good or play his role particularly better.

He's going to play Deadpool in the upcoming Deadpool movie as well!

I don't know if there's any hope for that movie, after having seen Green Lantern.

He played Deadpool in that wolverine origins film and he nailed it big time, he def has my vote for the role in any stand alone film.

That film is a ******* travesty to Wade Wilson/Deadpool character. That **** poor adaption of a comic book character is hand's down the worst produced yet. Teleportation? Optic Blasts? Retracting Swords? WTF!!

Granted this was the CGI-Horrorshow-nonspeaking DP Post Weapon X program... so it can't be a judgement on Ryan Reynolds, he did stand out to me perfectly for the quippy comments as the perfect actor for it, I'm just genuinely worried by the prospect of a Deadpool film after seeing Wolverine Origins *Shudder*

Weapon XI was played by a different actor and wasn't supposed to have anything to do with the Wade Wilson/Deadpool character apart from his body being used for the program.

The Deadpool played by Reynolds at the start of the film was bang on with the quips/mannerisms imo.

Apart from the fact Stryker called Him Deadpool (Or The Deadpool).

Yes the start was bang on with quips/mannerisms, but even then he can't reflect bullet's with a bloody katana, he's almost special needs in the way Wade Wilson acts.

If they don't mind sodomizing him in that film, why not in the next? obviously we don't know the plan. Though, Ryan Reynold's has said that in the spin-off movie, he will break the fourth wall, which bodes well.

I agree Deadpool in Wolverine was a total **** take and one of the major reasons that film sucked so much

Since I last posted in this thread I've now seen Green Lantern and that's a film I actually really enjoyed very true to the comics, I'd give that an 8/10

Still yet to see GL.

I have no qualms with Ryan Reynold's acting, he can pull out a good performance when needed (Smokin Aces, The Nines, Adventureland and Buried). Hal Jordan is a bit spastic in his super hero one liners, so this fit's a role RR can portray and often is typecast as.

but I've heard bad thing's about just the overall experience with the GL film. From what I saw it looked fairly full on with the Mythos of the Green Lantern Corps, but I've just heard its boring and underwhelming for what it could have been.

Then again, sometime's i have my guilty pleasure films where I Just like them for some reason.
