ryanvm update and media center

right i am going to do a fresh install tonight of media center, would it be better to intregate the pack from the above link before the install or just update from windows update? also is this pack designed for all xp editions?

That pack should be fine you would probably be better asking on the forums on there site but im sure its ok as i have used it since its first release and never had a problem with it.
