Soz I know this is a sports Q and should be in the sports forum, but what is the general populations view on competitions like this. Sky pay millions to cover it yet it is as middle class a sport as you can get.

America won tonight after Europe trashed them for years but does anyone really care about this middle class middle aged freakshow?

Had it been on the beeb i would have watched it and in fact would have quite liked to watch it. I'm not middle class or middle aged though

Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean others don't. I hate football and think that its a total waste of airtime. However I know lots of other people enjoy it, so all fair.

Don't think I'm middle class at all, and I'm certainly not middle aged but I still enjoy watching golf... we were actually watching it in work on Friday when it all started :)

I used to detest golf and it was one of those sports I used to instantly change the channel on when it came on but to be honest I started watching it and got quite into it.

I can't play it to save my life mind you, but enjoy watching it :)

No id rather watch paint dry then watch golf, its marginally more entertaining :D

What does middle class has anything to do with being shown on sky anyway? Since when do you need to be in any class to play or watch any sports?

I care about the Ryder Cup, mostly because my home town has been a giant building site for the past 5 years because of it.

Quite funny, i wathed all of it about 30 odd hours and thought it was great. Whats being middle class got to do with golf? A season ticket is around the same price as a years membership to a club
