6600 is on offer at the moment for that budget and while it's still a step up I would be more comfortable with the next tier up.

However, you also mentioned you use the PC for 3D software as well, which programs in particular? Some run better on Nvidia cards.

For me, a 6600 is not a big enough step, I'd consider a 6700 XT the minimum, but I'd have a look for yourself, e.g. type "1660 Super v 6600" on YouTube and watch some videos like this:

I just looked briefly at 1660 vs 6700xt and the 6700xt is so much better. The jump from 1660 to 6600 isn't really impressive imho.

That would make a 3060 within reach, you can get a 3060 (12GB version) for under £300 now, which although it isn't that much faster than a 6600, is likely to be more suited to your 3D software and would double your VRAM.

I don't mean what you have, I mean to other 3060 models (including the one < £300 that I can't mention).
