Hopefully with RDNA3 and Zen4 cores along with DDR5 performance should be comparable to at least RX 580 level.

Very strange, especially as all Ryzen 7000's already have GPUs in them lol, so effectively they are already all G's.

I can see these APU's becoming increasingly popular due to price graphics cards.

In the past these sort of chips normally get bought up by system builders like Dell and HP and get crippled with single channel slow memory but in the hands of consumers and enthusiasts these could be something else.

With proper memory we could hope for something between RX 590 and Vega 56...
if you want decent gaming performance though wouldn’t it just be better to buy a used 6600 for £100 and pair it with one of cheaper the non G chips and a cheap set of ram?

Ryzen 7000G Zen4 CPU series spotted

The same site has a newer story, and boy is it a depressing thing to read.

Interestingly, there is also a shipping manifest for Ryzen 7000G series. As pointed out by the source, AMD Ryzen 7000G desktop CPU series featuring Phoenix silicon but on AM5 package, may at least for now, only use Phoenix2 die, which is the smaller die with fewer cores.

Instead of the 8 Zen4 CPU cores and 12 RDNA3 Compute Units, the smaller die only offers 6 Zen4(c) cores and up to 4 CUs. At this point, it is unclear if AMD has a plan to bring more powerful APUs to the market, but then there is hardly any reason not to. AMD’s own desktop Raphael series also features RDNA graphics, but those are of older generation and only limited to 2 CUs.

AMD Ryzen 7000G (Phoenix-G)

  • Ryzen 5 PRO 7500G (100-000001183-00)
  • Ryzen 5 7500G (100-00000931-00)
  • Ryzen 3 7300G (100-000001187-00)

They really love to disappoint with APUs on the desktop. I've always been a huge fan of CPUs with enough power for light gaming. 6 core 4 CU is not exactly the 12 CU greatness I was hoping for.

Isn’t it amazing that the RX 580 is still the defining benchmark for gaming on an APU to this day?

Speaks to how popular they were.

I just downgraded to an RX580 because I know the performance and I need native Linux support.

Wonder how good the AMD 7000G memory controller will be?

Yeah..... i don't get it! :(

Guys guys..... we have some really good CPU and GPU cores, why don't we combine the two to make a really good lower mid level gaming package, that would give us a unique product, we could fill a hole in the market that is not only desired so potentially hugely successful and our two main competitors don't have the IP or technology maturity to challenge us. :D

I'm not looking to upgrade my main PC, but the 2400G under the TV is definitely wanting to be replaced.
I could just get one of the many decent priced AMD mini-PCs but I'd really just prefer a matx board, CPU and memory to go into the console-sized case I've already got.

With normal desktop power limits, there is potential for some amazing performance in a small package.
