I going for the Ryzen 2700x and at the moment my old pc is running win 7. Can i carry on using win 7 or would i need to upgrade to 10. I know nothing about this, so sorry if it's a stupid question. If i go to win 10, what do i do about all my steam games etc

Well officially Ryzen is not supported on Windows 7 and at the minimal cost for a W10 license it would recommended to upgrade to W10.
I believe you can get Ryzen CPU's to work on Windows 7 but no experience with this.

Regarding Steam, you can backup the steamapps folder on the pc, reinstall windows and steam and then move the steamapps folder back to the correct location. OR just download games again.
