as the title i've noticed in the last few days my internet has been acting up and just now i have run tests on my connection on my ryzen 3900x build, my download is 49mb's but my upload is 0mb's via a wire, whats odd is that i have my nephew saying over and he's got a intel build and on wifi and he can hit 48mb's down and 10mb's upload, just wondering if anyone else has this problem and is anyone aware of a fix?

cheers

Bad cable?

Dodgy router?

Does your nephew have the same issue if wired?

cable is around 4 months old and router is fairly new got a new one as updated contract for fiber, havent tested his pc with wire yet, odd thing is my pc was running fine for the whole time i had the cable, in the middle of installing updated chipset and ethernet drives to see if it fixes it

right update, just plugged into the 5gb nic and hey presto my upolad is back and i have a green light and orange activity light, when i plug into the intel 1gb nic i get a red light and very little orange activity light, have i broke the 1gb port or software related?, trying to install the 1gb drives and the asus setup wont lanuch

What motherboard?

Checked device manager - look for yellow exclamation mark next to the network section. Possibly just a driver issue needing sorted.

Aye. Uninstall it or check for driver update. Dual lan ports could be causing a conflict (especially if the non Intel one has proprietary software running in windows) dual lan on my x370 went haywire when I installed the windows software for the Killer Nic - from memory it was a similar issue. Made the Intel lan port run like turd.

I didn't realise that there was a wrong Ethernet port.
