Ryzen build help

hi looking at getting a ryzen build

I only need processor motherboard and Ram

Would like a apu chip is possible and would like a similar performance of a i5

I know nothing about ryzen

No gaming use will be used for internet browsing and video playback
 
3200G, B450 board, and then some 3000MHz DDR4 RAM, pretty much that simple. If you are wondering why I am suggesting spending £5-10 more on fast RAM< it is just in case you want to use the Graphics for something in future. :)
 
Thanks but updating the bios for the new chip is a massive problem for me as I don’t have a previous cpu and ocuk put cpus on my boards as when I tried it bent pins

As ocuk have got none of the b450 boards that can be done without a cpu

Ask them, or wait for one to come back in to stock, or buy one from someone who does have stock? :)

Ok that’s why I asked for recommendations as ryzen seems cheaper but I’ve always been intel
 
@TheMadHatter it's not that much cheaper once you add on standard parts like case, psu, ssd, ram
you get more performance (hence value) out of the amd system...but the actual $ amount is similar when comparing the whole build.
my 2p would be to get a refurb office workstation.

Ok but I’ve already got PSu case ssd I only need processor ram and board
