Looking at moving from a 3570K, 16GB to Ryzen.

I am thinking of a 1700, and 16GB of Ram. I am not sure which RAM I should be selecting, can anyone help? I have read the thread for Ryzen. I'd like the cheapest, but fastest at the same time. In otherwords, I am not particularly interested in benchmark scores but if an extra £50 can get a noticeable real world difference (or it gives extra OC headroom in the future) for example then I'd think about that.

As for motherboard, I was thinking a Gigabyte Gaming 5? (~£150) ish?

Thanks

3200 is the sweet spot and ideally you want Samsung b-die for best comparability with ryzen.

The 8 pack pro is recommended a lot which is b-die.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £576.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

if your doing CAD or heavy CPU intense work then would push for the Aorus 5/k5 above as VRM will handle 100% load for long periods better, gaming doesn't put as much stress all the time
