It's on now. 12 contenders of which Anthony Joshua seems to be favourite. That surprises me, I'd put Hamilton or Farah over him.

Goes to show how much public persona matters. Fury was a big underdog against Klitschko but beat him to win 4 world titles, but his public persona and controversial views meant he was never in the running for it. AJ was a huge favourite to win his first title and favourite to win the others and he's going to canter home.

The nature of this award has an empahsis on the personality side of thigs. Yes, achievement matters, but how you achieve also matters. Hamilton has probably took a hit for his tax situation, Farah for his choice of coach.

Yes - he has tested positive for elevated levels of a specified substance, slabutanol (not a banned substance). This gives him a chance to argue his case - could still be given the all clear.

The award has been a joke for years. The fact that someone can get so many votes because of his place in Strictly says that it shouldn't be a public vote, it should be decided by a panel

Mo gets it for what? 2 races in a year, one of which he didn't even win? Mental.
