Just bought a new tv and connected it up to the computer with HDMI cable through my GTX 275. Anyway, i remember in order to get the sound working i need to plug the provided cable into the motherboard,

Looking about all i can find is a Internal Audio Connectors. My motherboard is a ASrock N61P-S. Had a look through the documentation but i cant seem to make sense of it. ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/N61P-S.pdf

Can anyone help?

I thought that may be the case, I hoped it wasnt though. - What are my choices to get the sound running through the TV?

There isnt enough room with the GTX 275 in there for a sound card. I suppose i can just run audio cables into the TV?

you can use analogue audio, You'll need headphone jack (plugs into the green socket on i/o panel) to what ever the tv connectors is.
Or you can buy a sound card with spdif on it
But if you are going to be watching lots of HD movies sale the GTX275 and buy one which has audio HDMI output. But only really comes into it's own if you have an Av reciever and speakers.
