can i play this game with an xbox controller?

I use joy2key to play it. The 360 controller has 13 buttons, but i have it customised at around 30 buttons if i remember rightly for this game. I don't touch the keyboard whatsoever in this game. I use the mouse for the map, but that's about it. Even the binocular zoom i can use without issue.

I bought joy2key, but it is free. Takes a good bit of tweaking, but it's worth it. Also when you disable controller usage in controller supported games and use joy2key, you can tweak acceleration, dead zones, etc.

However there are other kb/m emulators about.
