S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky - Gone Gold

Are there any mods out there that allow you to carry more and is there a weapon mod that allows for more damage/accuracy. Throwing rocks would be accurate and deadly compared to some of the weapons.
 
Yeah some of the guns are riduculous, don't remember them being that bad in SoC, also the ability to repair them just means they break faster and you have to reload after every shot because its jammed :rolleyes:
Still good fun though :). Glad the new patch is finally compatible with older savegames.
 
Downloaded new patch, game crashed within 2 minutes of gameplay.

Will be trying to take this back to the shop tomorrow tbh, its not really acceptable.
 
I installed it and played for about an hours last night and its loads better, no ctd's crashes or anything.

fingers crossed i might get to finish it this time!
 
This game run awful on my system, dont know what im doing wrong maybe the setting i selected, i was reading the guru3D article checking out what setting they used,
i was hoping to use those setting, just run like crap, slowdown and sluggish
 
Runs like a dream on my system (3ghz dual core, 8800 gtx 2 gig of ram), tho I will say I have noticed if I change area three times in quick succession the games gets very choppy and I need to relog.

I am thinking memory leak or something.
 
Installed it last night, loaded up a saved game and it crashed giving a bug trp report which could not be sent. Didn't bother again as had a lady over for the evening, will try again tonight.
 
mine was running slow until i dropped the res to 1440*900 and its loads better. turned a few things down like draw distance, af etc to just over half, also turn god rays etc to medium setting and x2AA and i've got a solid 40/50 fps and it still looks sweeeeet, with all the dx10 lighting etc! even runs well at sunrise and sun set!!!

gonna have a proper sesion tonight when i get it. cant wait!

how many patches it had ? does it run decent now ? anyone with similar specs with mine can run it 60 fps on all high 1680x1050 ?

we've had 3 patches so far and mine seems to be running ok now. only played for an hour or so last night but no probs so far, go out of the swamp no prob and done the "get the loot" mission at the cordon with no probs.

cant wait to get back into it again!
 
Nah.

I've decided to give up with this.

Installed new patch and now the game won't even start. :(

Wondered if it might have had something to do with my quicksaves or main saved games so decided to delete them all and start a completely new game of CS.

It starts, I click "New Game" then select difficulty level.

Goes to the screen where it starts loading up but doesn't get past the "Creating Game" bit.

Crashes straight back to desktop with a bug report.

I am a patient fella, but this is way beyond funny now.

I'll stick it away in a cupboard and keep an eye on the forums every so often for any news, but for now - nope.....hopeless. :rolleyes: :mad:
 
Has anyone had friendlies shoot them in a freedom base for no apparent reason? (weapon was holstered, well, binoculars out - is there even a holster key? lol)

Wondering if they're infiltrator stalkers or if it's another bug.
 
Even thought the patch notes say you can use old saves, they don’t seem to work for me, I crash whenever I open my inventory, and loading a new area is like playing Russian roulette.

I have started a new game and its running very VERY solid.
 
Dont think im gonna bother with the latest patch as the unofficial 1.5.04fixes/scripts by raven on gsc forums fixed all my problems i had, worth a look if you guys are going mad with certain bugs mine hasnt crashed or glitched since :)
 
anyone else had any problems?? wondering if i should start it again or not, really dont want to get to far in to it and have to stop AGAIN?
 
The new patc seemed to kill my quick saves and autosaves, but manual saves were ok, I had to go back a bit(in saves time) to get it to load so I am replaying the only a short bit, but it does seem a lot more stable and also a little better performance.
