Well got it running better in the end, settings on 'high' with some texture detail nocked down a bit, virtually no AA/AF and it was around 25-30 fps most of the time, not impressed with the performance to be honest. I hope the retail game is better, not got high hopes though.

EDIT: Wow turning off HDR makes a huge difference; it's now pretty much 150fps+ solidly

On the beta key page, I put in the code but it just goes to the main fileplanet page from there, no confirmation or anything. No emails. Anyone be a kind soul and provide me with a key?

Im getting around 25-30 fps with everything at max, still bale to get a few headshots with the pistol as i didnt buy any new weapons for other ppl to steal

Is this with full HDR on too? Turing on either of the other 2 options besides static lighting makes my FPS shoot down to <10 :s

Anyone know the link to the fileplanet s.t.a.l.k.e.r beta forums it didn't say anything about it in the email they sent, but the developers site is telling people to use fileplanet even though theres no link !

Sucks tbh. Just me or are the graphics a bit crappy? Looks a bit fuzzy as well.

The more i play the more i don't like it , i LOVED the previous version but mp side of this SUCKS.... I got upgraded to PRO , bought a high powered sniper rifle , One death and then i can only afford a Pistol and pretty much the entire game is then ruined. It is also turning into BF2 , you layer some noob with a high powered rifle he just walks around and bang your dead

Performance wise its fine , graphics are AMAZING... But this tier 2 beta i feel is heading more and more to counterstrike/bf2 gameplay

The graphics are not everything lol, even though I like a good game I do expect games that come out in this day and age to contain good graphics, take Oblivion for example or COH.

No when you move it feels more like gliding, I know its a beta, but I've taken part in enough betas to know what the word means, and like 2142, played that BETA and didn't like it. And guess what? I have 2142 and I've played it what? once. haha.

Ah, should have read the readme tbh. With no AA/AF it runs *ok* on Max graphics with HDR. I think it looks pretty decent actually. If the retail runs better then this should be okay on the graphics/performance front I think.

I just checked with fraps and im getting 80-100fps with everything on max. 50-60 on really open detailed sections of a map.

i got everything on max no slowdown and owning everyone on my first go

Its a really good game the gameplay is great the only niggle is that graphics aint exactly anything special but they are acceptable

its been my xperience that if a game has multiplayer and singleplayer then the multiplayer will not be as grapicaly as good as the single player

Not graphically as good as the multiplayer? How the heck would that ever happen? The game would use the same gfx for both so how are they different? Sorry its just i find this really hard to believe that sp and mp gfx could be diff on the same game.

i think hes right an example i can think of was chaos theory the graphics were really poor in the mp.

Hmm well thats strange. I mean from my experiance i have never seen a diff between sp and mp gfx unless i changed the gfx options or somit. And chaos T game well erm wasnt that classed as a bad pc game? As in a terrible port from console to pc?
