S2 Return to stock

seems a bit bizarre recommending cm9 when he just wants an up to date rom. cm9 is updated nightly so it'll be 'out of date' tomorrow :/ Is everything even working yet?

I'd just stick stock ICS on it, or wait for o2's ICS which is due soon.

o2s ICS is already out :)

Download checkfus from here: http://fus.nanzen.se/download.php?id=12

open it up on the right drop downs select: Android > i9100 > United Kingdom O2 > then click check firmware.

Latest firmware: I9100XWLP3/I9100O2ULP4/I9100XXLPR/I9100XWLP3
Modified: 26/03/2012 17:34:21

Then flash it with Odin.

Dangerous not everything works with CM9 there are still bugs & niggles but it is usable. If you want any of these features stay with Samsung ROMS for now

TV Out: not working properly
NFC support on GT-I9100P and SGH-I777 is missing
FM Radio: try Spirit FM from market
Wifi Direct
Orientation sensor is rolling when pitching

Apart from those though CM9 is cool :P Although I use D4rom personally.

Tiny amount of stuff that doesnt work :p And if MagicMalkin doesnt like CM9 can always go back to ICS Samsung Standard or O2 with **** on.

Appreciated the help yesterday. My phone is now running smoothly and I have to say I'm a fan of CM9.

Sweet isn't it. It's no where near the final build though, wait a couple of days when they are supposedly adding / merging lots of cool functionality!

What's this OpenDesign thing? Just a new version of CM9? It's meant to be released today.

Well, I guess only more information is going to be released.
