S2000 & damp roundabout

hee hee, the fun of RWD and wet roundabouts. He really didn't get that opposite lock on fast enough did he :D

All the roundabouts on the industrial estate where I work are covered in diesel from trucks and they are a real handfull in the wet. Lots of sideways fun to be had.

Depends on the car, a nice progressive oversteer and a bit of opposite lock is all well and good, but the S2000 is well known for 'snapping' rather than being progressive; especially in the wet. He probably thought everything was fine and dandy until he was facing backwards a split second later :D

I won't laugh too much though, in case I do a similar thing on the way home ;)

I used to slide the back out of my S on damp roundabouts, it really was so easy to do it was scary. Used to love to see peoples faces when I did it - mouths open, etc. :)

Had some RWD roundabout fun on Tuesday myself - In Z4 courtesty car whilst mine was in for its Service 1. Very wet roundabouts but not much power combined with a very well balanced car made for great fun and frollics. Always more fun when its not your tyres to.

Silly S2kip driver! Too much power!

How many times did that Civic bounce off the limiter when pulling away...

Sounds like he was wheel spinning in 2nd gear to me!

Merlin, is that your Teg?

That Civic sounds the doodahs, and that's from someone who doesn't like the sound of em. Nice :)

yer, i was quite shocked at how easily it span. Totally nutty.... must have seriously stamped on the loud peddle or something...

now remeber kids, playing on roundabouts is bad mmmkay! (unless no-one catches you)

Acceleration around a corner will do that in those sort of cars, have done it in my MX-5... only something I'd do once though

bah, ya big girl you :D the five won't do that by a long way, gives you loads of time to react

yeah, I didn't say I got a 180 out of it... the second time I drove the thing I stamped the accelerator down while I was taking a corner... the car fishtailed

I wasn't used to a RWD car

true, does take a bit of getting used to. First time i lost the back on my sx i bricked myself and i still get a major adrenaline rush when it happens still, but more in a good way now :D

Pretty much the first roundabout i took after i bought the mx5 was sideways unintentionally.... oh and the guy wasn't too happy that i had it go slightly light on the test drive... was a garage and i bought it so he couldn't compane too much, just looked slightly pail

There's a few like that on my way home from work.

I doubt motorcycle riders feel the same though....
