They do, and those were what I was attempting to replicate. Unfortunately they are no longer available.

it's probably simply the fact that they stick "out" if they were just recessed with maybe a clear(petg?) printed frosted "glass" over it, it'd look a bit similar to the above.. dunno how hot the LED's get but I presume petg would be able to handle it ?
