Anyone got one? Now looking at a more luxury motor than my previous posts.

2008 plate fully loaded .

Essentially a posh, less focused, more woolly Focus ST.

Whether this is a good or a bad thing depends on your tastes

That's what I thought. Taking one for a drive tomorrow. More I think about it the more I'm wanting a more luxury motor than hot hatch.

Loved my Cupra, but it's not the most relaxing drive...

Online reviews seem positive.

I take it you mean the v50? My parents had one as a courtesy car but that was only a 1.6D iirc... The interior was still very nice, fairly minimal, for the size of car it felt slightly cramped. Sorry I can't really tell you much more than that!

Good luck :)

Ad above if you are talking about the v we had one in Sweden and it was cramped front and back but pretty good quslity, even my s80 barge is still a little cramped up front

True I guess, as my v70 front passenger gets a side helping of center console invading their space, luckily I'm always pilot :D

Just dug the old pic out, is that even a V50?

Proper snow driving, studded tyres and roads of compacted snow no grit what so ever for hundreds of miles, only the motorways get plowed and gritted

Ahh, there was 4 adults and holiday gear for a week, I couldn't have the seat all the way back as the poor girls in the back got their legs crushed which made my knees stick in the dash, they took it in turns for the punishment.

Poor show really, booked it thinking it'd be massive and comfortable, wrong

Well I'm 6ft tall, and often have passengers in the back seats of 6ft+ and have never had any complaints. Maybe my passengers are just too polite :)

I find if you turn up the stereo you cant hear the squashed people in the back whining ;)

That model V70 was the shortest they'd every produced IIRC, (the 850 was shorter still but legroom was bigger).

The newest V70s (2007 and on) are much bigger and what you expect from a estate Volvo.

Quite like the look of that though the interior looks a bit plastic fantastic.
Basically a Focus ST without looking like a chavs wet dream!

Neil.

Well I hope to test drive a local one tomorrow from a non volvo dealer, purely as a tyre kicking exercise, then I'll head to that dealer if I like it.

Indeed looking forward to loosing my Yellow leon cupra.

This is the one I'll drive tomorrow. -

That's quite tasty looking, quite pricey though, what warranty are they offering, can you negotiate an extended?

Indeed, hoping to get them lower on the price as it's above average milage. It's got 12 months Volvo warranty on it. Hoping to see if the family purchase can change the price - my father purchased a £20k+ motor from them in 2009

Indeed, my thinking too. Driving a yellow seat leon with the idiots on the road these days is hard work. Looking forward to somthing more subtle.
