Can anyone recommend a reasonable s939 motherboard with a variable memory divider? I'm currently using an Abit KN8 with an opteron 144 and 1 gb of corsair pc3200 ram. My overclocking is currently limited by the ram to about 260mhz (which I'm quite impressed with considering) but I'd like to go further and the easiest solution seems to be to run the memory asynchronously. While the KN8 seems to be a nice stable board it doesn’t offer this feature. I don’t need sli but would prefer to stick with a nf4 board if possible.

Or please tell me I’m being stupid and have just missed the option in the bios.

Thanks for the reply, your message made me try some old pc2100 I had sitting arround. The board does offer various memory dividers, just not in a logical way. I just have to lie to it about what memory I have and it sets an appropriate multiplier.

I've now set it to ddr333 and a fsb of 275mhz. It seems to be working fine with the ram at 225mhz and the processor at 2470mhz. This needs some testing but Hopefully now I'll be able to go further as it's still only on stock volts.

Got bored so tried it at 300mhz fsb and it's been working fien for the past hour running prime 95. It's still on stock volts as well
