I think the TUF boards don't necessarily cool better. They can just tolerate higher temperatures.

So rather than improving cooling, they just used better components probably.

That was actually the main thing that got me, no IDE/floppy connector etc and I like the P6X58D-E's bios a lot better than the UD5 I had, I just don't really like Gigabyte BIOS layout but that's just personal.

The cooling is very effective better than the rampage 3, it actually keeps the northbridge under control and doesn't get ridiculously hot.

In essense they are very similar each with their different attributes but for the £7 difference between them. I'd opt for the Sabertooth.

Well he still hasn't provided evidence to back that statement up, that it runs considerably cooler. Unless he tested in the open air on a bench and not in a case.

he works in ocuk, he gets to play and test hardware they get in stock. id like to think he speaks the truth by having hands on experience. Hes not a random forum poster with bias opinions on hardware they dont own or test themselves.
