Sacked - ITV World Cup pundit Robbie Earle

who was the second commentator tonight ? the only words i heard him say where robinho is looking fitter , robinho has been the centre of everything

he literally never spoke about one other player. im thinking they are maybe a couple ?
 
Either Robbie Earle knew that he was doing wrong with those tickets so should be sacked or he didn't and if it's the latter then he's too stupid to be a football commentator anyway. I hesitate to claim that as I'm not sure it isn't completely oxymoronic to suggest that it is possible to be too stupid to be a football commentator though, it seems that idiocy goes with the territory as well as a profound ability to state the obvious.

But if he bashed the back out of at least three of those Dutchies then the man deserves a pat on the back.
 
I would have had him sacked for being a distinctly average pundit. Basicaly the Uriah Rennie of football punditry.

Very true but then he'd have no worries about being "shamed rubbish football pundit Robbie Earle" and would henceforth be known as "legendary swordsman Robbie Earle". Personally I think that's a pretty fair trade off.

Can't stand sport on ITV.

This, the F.A. Cup goal they missed and the England goal... They must be paying a shed load of money to the F.A to get football or else they'd be gone.
 
Reminds me of the time I tried to get into a Wigan Athletic game with a ticket issued to Primary School, clearly said on juniors so tried it and got turned away at the turnstile, swines, even kids dont want to watch Wigan for free, this was years ago when Charlton was in the prem and Wigan won 4-0
 
Either ITV or the BBC did a bit on them, it's crap what they went through. They were arrested and then held for 7 hours or so by the SA police. Not a good image for them or FIFA, I mean these are not drunken trouble makers, they're just birds wearing an outfit.

FIFA's really making a mess with this one, it's obvious they've got the SA authorities by the nads and are doing this from pressures by their own sponsors. They couldn't do this in Germany 4 years ago but are properly taking advantage of what the police in Africa are like. Meanwhile lol the Bavaria beer company gets even more publicity. From the tiny tags on orange dresses I doubt they'd be getting any at all.
