My friend wants a buget build, just to last him till Xmas.

I said this can't be done but Icy, Kenny's and Fung's speccing skills never stop amazing me.

He already has

GFX (ATI 4850) my old one
Case (my old antec 300)
PSU (550W Corsair I think)

So, what's the budget? does he need OS? monitor etc?

Forgot about that part, he doesn't need an OS, Monitor and peripherals.

Sadly the budget is around £200

The gigabyte has the older nvidia 630i chipset, which tbh I don't think was too great.
The p43 however is a very nice board and can support the latest Intel processors (not nehalem obv.). I think it would be well worth paying the 25 odd quid more for a more up to date and stable mobo.
