Cant log onto Natwest banking with safari 5 now anyone know a workaround?

If it's checking the Browser version, you change tell Safari to appear as Safari 4, or IE, or Firefox..

Been perfectly stable for me and I've been using it pretty heavily all day. I've been enjoying using chrome the last few months but I think I might come back to safari now that I can extend it if needed and they've made the tabs behave how I like.

I have never really tried Safari, but it seeems nice, i do miss some features in FF though, like plugins for IRC like Chatzilla.

Maybe its just a placebo effect but it seems absolutely rapid loading pages for me.

i think its becauyse of two things

Safari 4:
Loaded the whole page then displays it, + old webkit + old tech

safari 5:
seems to displays as it loads + new improved webkit + new tweaks with dns

Extensions are starting to show up now!

To install you need to "Enable Extensions" in the develop menu. If you don't have the Develop Menu, you can turn that on in Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop Menu.

Hmm - I might give this a chance actually as I do have annoyances with Chrome.

Though I don't like this ad hoc manner the Safari extensions seem be getting distributed by. The central repository model of Firefox & Chrome makes sense to do it properly.

A central place is coming. I guess they're waiting for enough extensions to warrant opening up a site dedicated to them. Then they can do the usual Apple Marketing and get people interested.

It's the only thing that stops me using Safari. The only way is long winded and to go through the Inspect Element menu.

Works for me when I set the user agent to be 4.0.5 from the developer menu. I hope Natwest update their site soon though.
