Hi there,
I have a 9500GT 512MB Card with a Passive heatsink on, Idle is around 50 degrees and case temps about 30 ish.

Does this sound right? I know the passive bit makes a huge difference

Sounds fine. Load temps are more important. These cards did have a dislike to heat due to a manufacturing issue so to maximise the lifespan of the card, it's recommended (by me just now) to keep it below 70C.

Max ive seen it hit was 64 after 8 hours of skyrim on highest the card will do :)

Also. The cards leaving me the second i can find a cheap 6950 or something

64 is still pretty good.

Keep an eye on the MM, 560ti's and 6950/6970 pop up for just over the £100 mark, now and agian.

Just overclocked it 10%, Not sure why.. Max at 72 degrees stable on furmark

550Mhz to 600Mhz GPU Clock
400Mhz to 420Mhz Mem Clock

Any good?

The 9500GT cards can clock a good 20% at least generally. I got about 750mhz out of my 540mhz 8600GT, which was architecturally almost the same. Your ram appears to be DDR2 which is a shame, but this will probably be what is holding you back the most. See what you can get out of it.

750 is giving me some quite nasty artifcats or w.e they are :/ ill try 700 then 650 if not, What can i expect to see out my mem clocks? As this is were i feel this cards being let down a lot

700Mhz GPU Clock
420Mhz Mem Clock
1718.2Mhz Shader

75 Degrees Maxed on 15 Min furmark

Best ill get i think?
