safe/average volts for e6600.

this is 1.5875 in bios though (as in setting) - at load its 1.528V (according to CPU-Z) so depending on what you are measuring my temps might not be that good :)

is your E6600 an early one ? Mine seems to LOVE volts - yet not get that hot (relatively for the Vcore) - yet you read of peple with later ones, at 1.39V @ 60C +

Not sure what mine is, I got it around November/December last year. Mine loves the juice but doesn't get over excited with temperatures. That temperature seems good for 1.528V at load.

you sure have to start applying more and more and more Vcore though above a certain point

1.525V (load, CPU-z) @ 3.39 gig - 64C load

1.424V (load, CPU-z) @ 3.22 gig - 53C load

I think I'll sacrifice the 180MHz then :)

Mark.

yep i have e6600 that needs 1.575v temps are very high though arounf 50c per core under water! (swiftec Apogee GTX + black ice2 + Swiftec MCP655 at setting 4 AKA D5 pump)

edit make that mid 50's under Orthos load

On my E6600 3.5 is the ceiling, it needs 1.65 to get to 3.6 and even then it's not 100% stable, at the moment i have it at 1.45 @ 3.5Ghz 24/7 very stable. Using air cooling i'm v.happy with performance.
