safe pci-e frequency?

Allo all. do any of u guys overclock your pci-e freq? i own a 8800 gtx and have heard these respond well to a higher speed. just wondering how far it is safe to push it?

Iirc most people swear 105 is the sweet spot

101-110 very safe infact some need to stable RIG in OC'ing FSB, 115mhz safe, above that its your risk.

by changeing the pci-e frequency to a higher setting what does it do?

Speeds up the PCI-E bus and the older PCI bus from their normal speeds of 100mhz and 33mhz respectively, so gives you more Bandwidth.

so does it make the graphic cards any faster?

May let you OCthe GPU more and can add to your 3DMark scores with same clocks, as I said some peeps have to increase the Bus to get a FSB OC stable, they aint overclocking the GPU.
