Hi guys,

I just got an Lian Li PC-A05NB case and in it I put my ATI 7870, I noticed it was running pretty hot idle with the side panel on (around 50oC) so I took the panel off for more cooling, it's now idling at:

That still still seems hot to me, under load it reached this:

Again this is with the side panel off, the case is obviously very small I have a Corsair H50 so cooling is quite difficult.

Should I be worried?

Temps look fine to me. You can expect them to be a bit higher in this weather. I'd start getting concerned when your load temps get to the high 80's

As above, ive noticed my temps have risen because of weather, under full load (strss test) my gpu hit about 76 degrees I think, but I've had my case/gpu for a bit so I know it's the weather def. increasing my temps, you just got a new case and got worried that perhaps the cooling isnt sufficient but your okay no need to worry :)

If a case cools better without the side on, it's time for a new case.

I would be more concerned with you motherboard temps, having a quick glance at that case design and the fact you have no CPU fan.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the idle shot your memory looks to be running at load speeds rather than throttling down to 150mhz or whatever it should be. Maybe that would account for the temps.

Temps sit at around 30-35 on the mobo. Might have to do some modifying of this case and get some fans installed.

 That is way to hot for electronics !

Lol, electronics in general or just video cards? NVidia state 105c is when their cards will start throttling / shutting down. Whilst I wouldnt want to hit 95c, I wouldnt expect it to kill the card either.

All Electronics, maybe you should google ? good info is hard to find as nowadays you don't even have to know how to hold a screwdriver to build PC's :D
Every extra 10c can Half component life, there are other factors like thermal shock etc and new lead free BGA's are not as flexable/reliable etc etc..
