Safest way to accept a payment from Europe?

I backed a game on Kickstarter which I have no intention of playing anymore and someone has offered to buy my account off me which I'm really pleased about because I spent quite a bit of money on it.

I was thinking of getting them to do an international bank transfer to my bank account. Is that the safest way to receive money from a European payer? The easiest would be to use PayPal but I don't want to get ripped off.

Do I just give them my bank accounts IBAN number and the BIC code and then they can do the transfer? Is there any risk of me losing out on the money?

Just worried about this because quite a lot of money is at stake here and it would destroy me if I don't get the money through.

Star Citizen by any chance?

Bank transfer would be the safest but it still doesn't give piece of mind of them trying to dispute the payment after. Used to happen weekly for people selling WoW accounts.

The thing is that the seller is not given any peace of mind if they go through a buyer protected process (as shown in the other thread). Paypal gift is non refundable in the vast majority of cases and can be told apart because there are no fee's to the seller i believe.

Nope it is Chronicles of Elyria. Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll do it via international bank transfer. That certainly sounds safer than using PayPal. I think this person is pretty trustworthy but I only know them over the internet so you never really know.

Hmm so a PayPal gift would be OK then? Interesting. PayPal would certainly be the easiest method from my perspective although I have just found out what my IBAN and BIC numbers are for my bank account so I could just give this person those and they can work out how to do the transfer.

Bank Transfer. Its standard procedure in Europe though its frowned on somewhat here for some reason.

Also if the buyer even mentions Western Union for sending the payment run for the hills.

Western Union is great for receiving money as its untraceable and can't be reversed. Thats why scammers love it so much. Its only unsafe for the sender.
