What boots do you guys use?
I'm currently having bad luck. I need them waterproof so thinking I may try a gore tex lined ones.

Unless I can be convinced otherwise Dewalt are also out. I've had a pair of Hyena ones which where walking boot style and where comfy as... only issue was they were waterproof, got completely saturated one day dried off and even the lightest bit of water my feet were soaked.

My current pair of Dickies are the same and the heel has rubbed away inside in one foot.

Probably looking £60ish maybe upto £80 for them. I'm an event technician so they have to be hard wearing too.

What are you doing that requires waterproof?

I'd consider a pair of Dewalt trainers for dry work, and some decent rigger boots for the outdoor work. This is how I used to roll when I did events.

Don't get timberland pro...

What are you using them for? We always advise steel toe wellies for proper waterproof work. We used to advise rigger boots but a lot of sites won't let you use them anymore.

**** water proof work boots just gwt some sealskinz waterproof socks.

I get in well with hymalayian boots

I use Amblers Steel fs999 for when I need water proof without breaking the bank - they are a bit bigger than your average safety boot though which can mean they aren't quite as flexible.

I have some JCB honey boots.

I would say in terms of comfort they are the best I have worn so far

The with stand being jetwashed (you have to hold it with 2 hands because of the power)

heal is still intact with no rips or tears

Daily use for around a year now working with concrete which normally causes tears/weak spots but they are still how they should be.

I will buy another pair when these fail

I got a pair of JCB 3CX/H boots through my sister in law (she works for JCB and gets workwear cheap) and they are spot on; antistatic, waterproof and a steel midplate as well as toe cap

Think retail price is around £50-£65 depending where buy them (i only paid £25)

edit: the one thing i will say is the laces that come supplied are utter tosh and broken the first time i did them up (i bought a pair of DM laces and use them instead)

ah thats the code for mine (what halestorm said)

I can echo the supplied laces are horrendous.

so you must buy them, 2 in a row suggesting the same boots! its fate

i always buy dickies, got some of the composite ones this time, a bit lighter than the metal ones

Bit more than you want to pay at £127 (but bear in mind they're VAT free). Made in the UK as well.

They're used by Police Riot Support - steel toecaps, steel midsole to prevent puncture from nails etc - waterproof and very very comfy.

They'll last a while and can be resoled. I've had the non psu version (no steel toe cap) for over 4 years and I've just replaced them with a new pair.
