Did everyone else wake up this morning to a car that looks like it's been rolling in the mud?

Everyone seems to know it's sand from the Sahara - but how do we know that? Is it really true, or an urban legend type of thing?

Yeah my one is pretty covered. Heard on the radio this morning that if it rained be prepared for the sand to be dumped down with it.

One of my neighbours was washing his car at 7:30 this morning as I drove past

Shamed me actually - so I washed the wife's car at 7:30 this evening (lovely BST!)

My direct next door neighbour then came out, laughed at me, and told me the news had just said not to because it was going to happen tonight again

So I've swapped the cars over - wife's clean one is now in the garage, and mine, still filthy, is outside.

Your move, Sahara.

Spent 3 hours washing mine on Sunday only to come out at lunchtime yesterday to find it covered in sand. We've had some clean rain since but the sand was well and truly baked on thanks to some sunshine yesterday afternoon.

Damn you Sahara!

They say "saharah dust" but really I think it's just pollen. My car can sometimes actually go yellow. Most annoying if you've just washed / waxed. If that is the case, use a normal feather duster.

Washed mine Sunday, ended up with baked on sand :( Not looking forward to cleaning it since the car is black.

What's the best way to clean without wrecking the paint?
