Its a shame the Titan money cheat dosent work in this one :(

If you're struggling for money, buy shops in your hoods that you own. I generate about 40k a day and I don't own that many shops.

Also doing some of the activities can give you things like unlimited pistol and smg ammo, that is a massive money saver for me.

Unlimited SMG from Snatch was both fun to get, and a hoot to use, all 80 bullets from the clip fire in about 3 seconds and can blow up a car with a full clip :)

Just another fun fact! ;)

What were peoples opinions of this after playing the first 1/2 hour or the first time they drove around?

I ask, because I've only just started it but already it feels like a very poor GTA IV. I've found virtually every aspect meh so far

You get used to the driving, and its just brilliant fun to play hardly done any 'missions' just been messing on dressing up as a ninja etc

It took me a while to get into it, to tell you the truth i was going to take it back after a few hours play but once you have uncovered a few things got some money and pimped some cars you soon get into the missions and it gets a lot better.

Has anyone had any issues with the disc in this game? I got it on rental today, stuck it in and the drive made a really bad screech/clunk sound. It started to load the game up and crashed on the loading screen. Switched it off, tried it 2 more times and the same thing happened. I wonder if it's a dodgy disc although it looked like I was the first person to have this copy.

Definately just sounds like a dodgy disc.

Got the game on pre-order last week and played it almost constantly since (now replaced by Dead Space for the time being), but I absolutely love it.

To be honest, it's not fair to hold it next to GTA as people will ALWAYS see the latter as the pinnacle of the "sandbox car-jack outlaw" genre. This game, I find, is so much more fun. I'm never bored and there's always something to do.

Story wise, it's shallow but fun. The humour really shines through - and I hate listening to people say they don't like it or won't play it because of the "gangsta" posturing/theme etc. This game has its tongue planted so firmly in cheek it'd need some major surgery to get it out. - and I really appreciate that. In a time where people seem to be forgetting that the primary purpose of video games is FUN, it's refreshing. I barely go ten minutes without laughing out loud playing this.

For an example of a "gangsta" game that made me so disgusted at its seriousness, look no further than GTA: San Andreas - hailed as a classic but can't hold a candle to the Saints Row games as far as I'm concerned.

I just completed 'The Seige' Brotherhood mission, and the cut scene at the end was just SO awesome. It feels like you're part of an action film.

I love the character customisation, it just makes the whole experience so much more personal and the cut scenes so much more meaningful. This one paired with the one that's 'a trap' (trying not to spoil) with Johnny was also insanely awesome. I'm really loving this game at the moment. :D

Yep, have to agree with all above, the game is insanely fun, insanely tongue in cheek, and I love it! :D

The Disk errors are pretty common it seems, lots of lockups/crashes reported, and with mine, if I don't hit A on the very first intro video, it'll go to a black screen and lockup, every time!

Other than a few freezes, I've had a good 35 hours gameplay :D
