Saints Row 2 release date?

Has there been a Saints Row 2 release date yet? I've done a Google but I can only come across game reviews.

Wiki says 6th January but I can't see this being the case as I haven't heard much talk about it really.

So does anyone know when it's getting released?

EDIT:

It is supposed to be released this week on Steam....as they are using steam for their DRM apparently...

Basically imagine a less serious version of GTA with good graphics, and lots of stuff to do.

So the complete oposite of GTA4

Sorry no that is wrong, SR2 is dire it really is. GTA4 is by far my favourite game and SR2 is crap.

Yes opposite as in not like GTA4 & all the seriousness, Saints Row is basically like the OLD GTA's vice city/san andreas e.t.c

Sorry no that is wrong, SR2 is dire it really is. GTA4 is by far my favourite game and SR2 is crap.

You would say that if your a massive fan of GTA4 but lets be honest, once the story is over in GTA4 thats it no replay value at all, not for me anyway & a few of my friends also!

That's your opinion. I've played SR2 and GTA4 on the 360 and I do prefer SR2. SR2 feels like it has a lot more content.

All I was saying he was wrong to say 'If you like GTA4 you will like SR2' because that isn’t the case, it truly is a poor game yep it’s my opinion of course, just like it’s your opinion when you say you like the game.

Yeah it's good, unlike GTA4 which had a good storyline and that's it. Saints Row 2 has 10x the content that GTA4 has, not to mention the game is 2 player Co-op as well.

It's more like San Andreas in terms of content as GTA4 is like a next gen version of GTA3 and similar amounts of content in both ¬¬.

Well you think you would seeing as they play kinda the same, and they are both sandbox steal cars do other stuff games. ¬¬

GTA4 is a not bad game, except the PC version sucks, and it has no content besides the storyline and multiplayer. (if you're fortunate enough to be able to play the PC version).

From what I played of it on the 360 it just didn’t sell the game to me at all, the graphics were poor compared to GTA and the driving of the cars felt wrong, maybe? the storyline is better in SR2 but I just didn’t get the enjoyment out of it like I do with GTA4.

Looking forward to it but I need to try first before buying it, I have 50 € on standby for SR2 saved but I'll need to see it first. I still like gta iv for the driving a lot even though I finished the game yesterday... Also have lot's of sidemissions like random characters left and assasination and brucie's race missions...

SR2 reminded me of Vice city driving which is crap to be honest and the gfx are worse too, I don't mind that as I love SA but the gameplay also didn't seem as flowing as gta sa, more than gta iv though... I just don't know it yet, I think I'll like it but it's a game I need to play before saying anything really ( while I knew I'd like gta iv long b4 it was released).
