Although I personally like the design of the RAT when I look at old cyborg stuff I think it looks hideous. I'm wondering if in a few years time I will be thinking the same about the RAT.

Yeah the looks are definately not to my taste but definately I spend more time using it so it would be great to get a feel of it.

Thinking of picking up the 3, tried it in a local store and although it hasn't got the adjustable features it felt perfect in my hand; such an odd looking mouse but somehow it just felt right...

no the "old cyborg stuff" looked hideous on the day it came out.

Cant decide which to get out of the 3 and 5, will the extra features and higher dpi etc of the 5 make much of a difference??

There are more customization options with the 5 over the 3, I don't think you can adjust any parts of the 3, but I might be wrong.

Got the RAT 7 today and loving it.

There have been delays to the RAT 9. Trying to get confirmation of an ETA from Saitek at the moment.

There is nothing that can be physically customised on the RAT 3, imho even 3200 dpi is too much for me - anything more than 1800 just seems like overkill.

But being a low sensitivity user I guess I would say that...
