Why do you want lights in your keyboard? I never look at my keyboard whilst typing or gaming, infact I never look at my keyboard :o Funnily enough I have lights in my keyboard, Saitek Ecplise Red, because I thought it looked cool. Now I realise how useless it is :p

Well its just an added feature for me, i didn't buy it for the lighting.

It does however come in handy in BF2 when I jump of a building and I'm looking for the parachute (9).
 
I had a saitek 2 jobby for about 4 months - i only used it for 2 of those as during a rather intense BF2142 session the R, F, V, T, G and B keys simply stopped responding unless i hammered them as hard as i could with my index finger. I thus sent it back and bought a Logitech G11 and have never looked back, it just feels so much more solid.

[EDIT] I have lights on my keyboard as i'm more of a night person but my g/f gets up early for work and, being a student, my computer is in the same room as my bed. My touch typing skills aren't 100% so being able to see the keys in a dark room is a useful feature for me.

That's pretty much the reason i got mine, from many a game of Diablo 2 in the dark, i found it a bit hard finding the correct keys, so am very happy with it, sorry to hear yours packed up on you.
 
Well its been sent back today via City link.

Lets see how quick OCUK's turnaround is.

They should receive it tomorrow, check it out by wednesday get a new one out latest Friday.
 
Im on the £15 cherry keyboard off here, its really nice and the buttons feel really positive and quiet... they have a cushion like feel to the last 1/6th of the stroke... very nice
