Saitek joystick issue

Bit of a long shot but perhaps someone has experience of a similar issue...

Basically my joystick is fine when I check the calibration settings but as soon as I get into game the z-rotation (rudder) axis only works half way when turning it to the right - left is fine. It's the same in all the games I have, FSX, Cliffs of Dover and War Thunder

I read that it's fairly common for a connector/wire to come loose inside so i took it to bits but every looks ok. The fact it's fine when I initially plug it in makes me think it's a driver issue, tried reinstalling driver multiple times but the problem remains...

I should add it's a Saitek Cyborg X, also sold as F.L.Y 5 I believe.

Any advice would be great!

I'd open it up, they're usually easy to get into just keep an eye out for screws underneath rubber feet etc.

It may be a dirty contact, loose wire or even a sping that's gone or simply popped out. Every stick is different but the only time I've had that on one the spring had popped out of it's holder which meant the the full movement in one direction wasn't registering.
