Sales figures?

Does anyone have the sales figures for 360 sales and ps3 sales 5 months after their usa launches?

On some places I get so tired of hearing, "the ps3 sold much better at launch than the 360", even though we all know the 360 would have sold much better if the stock had been there, hopefully these longer timescale figures will put things into perspective.

I can only find details up to to feb this year, so first 4 months US sales for XBOX360 and PS3.

Feb 2006
Xbox360 sold 1,117,000

Feb 2007
PS3 Sold 1,163,000

All figures approximate, not much in it, i think where the sales are vastly different is in japan where in the first 5 months of sales the Xbox360 sold 118,00 And the PS3 has sold 829,000 ( nearly 500k more than the Xbox360 stands currently). Hope this is some help for you.

Yep any country at all, I heard the ds sold something like 500,000 in japan.

I can't believe the wii has consistenly being outselling the ps3 2:1, and sony say price doesn't matter!

Successful what though?
The success of a console is how many units shipped and how much money they made from it. So you would need to wait towards the end of a machines life as to it being a success or not.

the xbox could be classed as a success, but at the same time could be classed as a giant failure, as iirc the xbox brand has still not made a penny.

I mean which consoles are selling the most at the moment, comparing how popular they are.

Ahh right, well i doubt you will find many weekly figure and it will be a struggle for a non biased country. Think it will be monthly will be all you can get.

You can get japan weekly but i dunno if that will tell you much
