Sales people pretending to be from openreach

No, but a man came round this week saying they're doing next doors guttering and they also need to do mine because it's full of moss. Another person a couple of weeks ago came and told me that I'll get a discount off cavity wall insulation because they're doing next doors at the same time.

They must be stealth tradesmen because although I declined their services, they were quiet as a mouse doing the neighbours house and I didn't even see them!

Said the little man in a shiny suit. It is only -8C outside this morning. We declined but saw a skating rink several door down of somebody who had accepted his offer.

Modern slavery, Albanians and gypsies come to mind.
 
Yes I seem to get them every few months. Claim they're working on behalf of openreach but after a few questions I found out they're really from moneysavingexpert. I get the same spiel about customers in my area complaining and they're here to make sure I'm getting the best speed possible. I just tell them I've entered a new 2 year contract and I'm happy with my provider and they go away, that or tell them I'm underage and home alone.

Started showing up after a few companies laid FTTH in my area.
 
We get BT phoning work saying to people answering that there's a problem with our internet so they get put through to me who then try sell me business internet. I don't understand how they think we would possibly go with them after lying to get through to us.
 
Had this years ago. People knocked on the door claiming that there’s been an upgrade at the exchange and they were there to make sure we were getting the free broadband that we were now entitled to. They made out that we should have got a leaflet in the post. There was no leaflet, it was just their way to make you ask for more details.

They were actually working for Talktalk
 
I got rudely woken up last week by a guy in smart clothing asking if I wanted my windows cleaning..... Told him politely'ish NO!!

Then when I got into bed and checked the CCTV I saw him get out of our window cleaners van..... Ooops
Emailed them to apologies.....
Well dont wake me up at 11am then
