Ok, so I like to keep check of my weight now and then, and use my parents scales when I'm back from uni. Tanita jobby, uses height / sex and shows BF%. I'm 10st 13.5lb and 12% BF according to these.

My dad got carried away today and bought a new set of scales, it has a USB port for crying out loud.

Has a load of functions, and takes into account height, age, sex, activity/exercise level.

(I'm 5ft 10")

I weighed myself on these and I was 10st 12.2lb and a BF of 10.0%

Also had some other interesting figures too:

Visceral fat level = 3
BMI = 21.7
BMR(Kcal) = 1772
Muscle Mass % = 46.5%
Body Water % = 65.9%

All are uploadable to your pc via the USB pen and you can log all changes in the software.

There's a guide too, to tell you how good/bad the levels are.

I had a slight thought that it might be too. I have no idea on how it works so just accepted it as 'correct', but I can't see how two sensors can calculate all of that info.

Anyone able to enlighten me as to how it works out the info, and how it can be inaccurate?

Just spoken to my dad and he's agreed with what you said, apparently they should only be used as a rough guide, and should always be used around the same time of the day in the same sort of conditions. Once a week or so.
