sammy 26"

Thats a really good price, I was considering a Samsung but went for LG in the end, I'm really happy with it too. Samsung would have been my No.2 choice.

It's all a bit of a mess really. From the other forum you can't quite tell who's got what discount and if it's been processed correctly. I guess it's all academic to me really as I haven't got the cash to buy myself one anyway :(.

50 weeks interest free credit .....

You aren't able to buy it on credit as a first time buyer as your credit limit with the catalogue will be around £100.

Actually you can post credit check - at least that is what the girl on the phone told me.

I think you're looking at the wrong screen there. Maybe the 26" for £599, but no way the 32"!!

Not quite sure what you mean VIRII. Say I were to open an account and they give me credit of £150, how do I then get the screen without making a first order and loosing the 20% discount?

I phoned up and placed the order over the phone, I said I wanted the 30% discount but the girl I spoke to only seemed able to give me the 20% discount with the 20% discount code that seems to be available to everyone regardless of being a new customer or not.
Then I said I want the 50 weeks interest free credit, she said OK.

I think people are confused between the 20% off for new customers and the 20% discount code for everyone hence you can get the interest free credit as well, I would rather have the 30% off and pay by credit card but it's good enough for me.

26" is £599
32" is £899

Both are available with a 20% off voucher making them £479 and £719 respectively unless you can find the mysterious 30% off and save a bit more.

So let me get this right, you've bought the 26" on account @ 50 weeks interest free + 20% new customer discount? The part I didn't get from your other post is the "post credit check" part.

I only thought there was a 20% new customer code, didn't know anything about a 30% code or 20% code for existing customers (I take it that is what you mean by everyone). I knew about the 25% code that was declared invalid.

I think the issue is that post-credit check you may only get a £100-150 credit?

Keep us updated with how you get on anyway.

There is 20% for all new customers.
There is a 20% off code that all new and old customers can use.

Having said all this everyone who rings up seems to get a different response from their customer service people.
I'll ring them on friday afternoon to confirm everything with them.

The thing that gets me is that over on the other forums I have been reading, there are still people saying that they have tried all methods to order and they are still getting problems.

I take it the phones are open late? I won't get home from work until 6pm so I can't really call and enquire if they close at 5pm (standard opening hours).

Phones are open till about 10pm even on Saturday I think.
There is a lot of confusion on the other forums, with many people receiving different experiences via customer services.
Best thingis to phone up yourself and see what you can get.

Just placed my order after a week of watching other people have all the fun!

But.. when the total came at the end of the order, they hadn't taken the 20% off, even though the offer code was there. So now I have to ring up tomorrow and make absolutely sure i'll get the discount.. :(

Will try and remember to call them when I get back in. Which number did you dial? I know there are a few numbers (0870, 0845 and 0800) for the same dept.
