Sample Coin of New 'World Currency'

The USA would not give up the exhorbitant privelege of being the world reserve currency lightly.

Sample coin of New 'World Currency' stupidly proposed by idiotic Russian Prime Minister

Fixed.

So there you have it, New World Currency, who controls it?

There is no such thing, so nobody controls it. The "New World Currency" does not exist.

Please, start taking your pills again. Or stop taking them. Whatever works.

=/ ...? How random.

He's saying, who WOULD control it.

Get off your high horse man! :p

It isn't a new world currency, it is what the Russians would want to see as a new reserve currency. It isn't going to happen because the other reserve currency nations wouldnt want it to happen and neither would countries holding massive amounts of those reserve currencies. So how exactly is Russia going to force this issue against the wishes of the US, UK, EU and China?

It's a question, not a statement.

And seeing as it isn't an actual currency yet...

Shant even go there actually.

Nice Ninja edit there! Yes - I did see what it said pre-edit. :)

Wonder how long it'll take for the various collectors companies to get hold of some and start selling them. That's about as close as they'll come to becoming a world currency.

PS - In the highly unlikely event that we're all proved wrong and it does happen then good luck to them. It'd certainly make international travel a fair deal easier.

Not really as it would be a reserve currency and not an in use currency.

This ideas been thrown around for decades. I doubt many countries would give up their currency. Although I like the idea of one world currency I dont think it will be in the next 50 years at the very least.

Probably longer...the world isn't controlled enough yet for that.
