I bought a Samsung 206BW a few months back and everything was fine till a couple of weeks after purchase the problem is that when my computer is turned on the monitor sometimes switches to a black screen where it will then switch between digital and analogue never actually putting the picture back up always being black then after doing this for a couple of turns it will then switch on to stand by.

This results in me having to restart my computer which usually does not work for the first 10 attempts or so. The reasons for this is from the very first screen you receive when restarting the computer there are little random pixels on the screen which can occur in different colours and patterns commonly being small lines of pixels down my screen either blue or red on each picture and more so on my windows xp loading screen this will again result in the monitor switching between analogue and digital and me having to keep restarting until it works.

This problem is starting to become VERY annoying as well as this when playing counter strike source the game may freeze up and i will receive lage black square or weird distortions on the screen which freezes my whole computer resulting in restarting the computer which then results in the monitor problem.

Things i have tried:
Reformmating computer
Changing drivers
Upgrading motherboard drivers
Changing between both analogue and digital
Changed motherboard, PSU, Hardrive, RAM (was an upgrade)

Anyone any ideas, please hekp if you can.

I have a 7950gt 512mb, thats what i thought it would be some sort of hardware overheating.

My memory runs at 32 degrees
cpu at 58 degrees and graphics cards at 41 degrees.

I am getting a new heatsink and antec 1200 delivered tomorrow so hopefully that will sort out the high temps, although they are not extremely high.

that temp for your gfx seems rather low. never actually had that card but that temp cant be right for in game use. its probbaly the temp when you at your desktop. maybe worth giving it a clean see if its clogged with dust. my ati1950pro was over heating recently and just needed a clean removd the dust from it all and temps dropped 10c
