Samsung 1TB 840 EVO Solid State Drive

Looks like Crucial will have competition in the 1TB SSD space, released August 5th apparently. Specs look great and beat the 840 handily. May have to get one if the price is right.

Should be a little cheaper than other big drives because it uses TLC NAND instead of MLC.

So here's hoping for sub £400

Really? £400? I know its a lot of money for a drive. but when you consider what you get for that.. .its not bad. Its a good sign of SSDs finally maturing to the point where we truly can bin our disks
